The Church of Sisian

Since 1999 the evangelistic ministry has started and has been flourishing till now in Sisian town, in the region of Syunik. Initially the ministry in Sisian town was not lasting. Some brothers used to visit Sisian from time to time. Then Samuel Khachikyan stayed on a permanent basis there till 2004 April. Meanwhile summer camps were held in Sisian from which the Sunday school for children and adolescents emerged. Afterwards a small group was organised for adults, which was later changed into a church.
In 2004 Vardan Hakobyan was sent to the church in Sisian to witness for Christ. In 2004 he started his family and continued his ministry with his new family.
Here is the list of the current ministries in Sisian church: worship services and Sunday school on Sunday; youth meeting on Thursday; Lusine Zakaryan gives piano lessons and Mariam Unanyan gives computer lessons the rest of the week. This year we also started the puppet group. All this takes place in the church building, which was bought in 2002. Each ministry is a great blessing for Sisian church. This is also the answer of the continual prayers of a group of young people who constantly meet on Friday for a prayer.
The desire and prayer of the Sisian church members is being able to start every ministry with the help of God and to finish everything according to the Lord's commandment.

The Church of Gavar

Our first ministry with children was on May 22, 2003, when, by the grace of God, we held a VBS and got acquainted not only with the children but also with their parents. We gradually made friends with them and started to visit their families. We have visited both the individuals and the families for a year, doing what was possible to spread the truths of the Gospel.
In the summer of 2004 we again had a VBS. During 3 days, almost 130 children actively participated in a number of interesting events. During the same summer, 25 children stayed in one of the Arzni rest homes for a week. We continued our ministry with the children even when VBS was over. We started a Good News Club with 35 children. Furthermore, in the same area we started spiritual meetings for the adults.
In May 2006, we acquired a church building by the grace of God.
Now we have worship services and prayer services on Thursdays and on Sundays. Once every two weeks we also have a Good News Club for children.

The leader of the church of Gavar is brother Avetik.

During the summer of 2006, English lessons were provided at the church by a visiting teacher for both children and teenagers, with a Bible lesson in Armenian following each English lesson.
